You, Becoming the Best Version of YOU

Becoming the best version of you starts with believing in your ability to do so. If you feel you have nothing to offer or feel your abilities fall short in comparison to othersyou will fail despite yourself. The mind is such a powerful thing! People often forget, just how powerful our minds can be. When you believe in yourselfthe possibilities in life become endless. Thinking, believing, and achieving go hand in hand with one another. William Shakespeare put this thought into words eloquently“Nothing is good or bad. Only thinking makes it so”. We each have an incredible amount of potential to tap into… use it to become the best version of you. Once you understand that your thinking drives what you believe, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Sure, there will be external stimuli; things happening around you that can affect you if you allow them to. The truth is, life happens… things happen, but ultimately you have the choice on how it will affect you. Remember, our thoughts eventually become our beliefs and what we believe can either make us or break us. Like Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right”.

Searching for Me

Harmony

At the heart of each of us, whatever our imperfections, there exists a silent pulse of perfect rhythm, which is absolutely individual and unique, and yet which connects us to everything else.

~George Leonard

Imperfectly Perfect

Changing YOUR Definition of Failure

We are all imperfectly perfect. As human beings we are destined to make a mistake or two. When faced with the worst that can happen in any given situation, we can grow. We each will be faced with failing at some point in our lives… but that is part of the process to becoming the best version of you. If you have failedat some point, it is not a bad thing at all! When you have failed, it means that you are engaged in life… because you are taking risks to achieve a goal. If you intend to create a life filled with purpose, it will require messing up and venturing into the unknown! Having the ability to recover from setbacks is essential to your growth. You can either allow setbacks to keep you from becoming the best version of you… or you can embrace your failures to build your resilience so that you can grow into the best version of you. Start by redefining your definition of failure… failure is not lack of success… shift your perception of failure! Failure is the starting line, part of the process, and being on the path to success. When you have made a mistake it is a sign of innovation, output of dedicated work, and the result of perseverance.

We are all… Imperfectly Perfect…

Focus

If you pay attention at every moment, you form a new relationship to time. In some magical way, by slowing down, you become more efficient, productive, and energetic, focusing without distraction directly on the task in front of you. Not only do you become immersed in the moment, you become that moment.

~Michael Ray

Being in the Moment

The only moment we have is now. As human beings we spend too much time thinking in past tense or future tense. Simply put, if you spend more time thinking of what it could have been or what it might be… life becomes limited… When you aren’t living in the moment, you have no clarity, no peace, and positivity, which equates to… no growth towards becoming the best version of you. Step away from the hopeless thought loops that swirl and twirl back and forth between memories and fantasies! That is simply not living… Focus on what’s right in front of you. Stay attuned with your inner body to harness your positive energy on the inside for others on the outside. Surrender to your emotions, they are there and when you have decided to surrender and not fight them… they become less of a controlling factor in your life. When you resist something, it only gets stronger! Let go of your perceptions, and just let everything be as it may. Let go of what you are holding onto resentments, anger, sadness, anxiety, negative feelings, bad habits, and old ways of thinking… all things that hold you back from becoming the best version of you.

Life, it is a series of choices we make…

Wisdom

We should cultivate the ability to say no to the activities for which we have no time, and which we have no interest or real concern. If we learn to say no to many things, then we will be able to say yes to the things that matter most.

~Roy Blauss
